Position Overview

As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver high-quality nursing care by collaborating with the patient care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere. You will serve as a key liaison among patients, their families, healthcare providers, and other team members. Your responsibilities will include:

Core Responsibilities
  • Patient Care and Coordination: Monitor, assess, and evaluate patient conditions. Assist in developing care plans and take necessary actions to enhance both short- and long-term patient outcomes. Deliver care as per established plans, utilizing independent judgment when necessary. Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members regarding patient care plans. Ensure optimal patient flow and experience while adhering to safety and policy standards. Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, changes in condition, care provided, and any incidents related to care standards.
  • Patient Advocacy and Satisfaction: Actively listen to patient concerns, delve deeper to understand their needs, and respond promptly. Serve as an educational resource for patients and families on health-related topics. Relay essential patient information to families, licensed providers, and other staff members. Uphold the principles of patient- and family-centered care to ensure satisfaction among patients, families, staff, and physicians. Prioritize actions based on patient needs and provide relevant input into care plans while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Performance Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance the work environment and processes. Contribute ideas for solutions and support the implementation of changes. Participate in initiatives aimed at improving patient quality outcomes, satisfaction, staff morale, and organizational financial health.
  • Professional Competency and Growth: Maintain all necessary licenses and certifications. Complete required training and proactively seek out development opportunities. Engage with professional organizations and stay updated on research and best practices in the industry. Pursue opportunities for professional advancement and leadership development.
  • Professional Leadership: Mentor and support the growth of fellow nurses. Contribute to a positive and encouraging work environment. Adhere to confidentiality, safety, and professional standards. Demonstrate professionalism, embrace shared governance principles, and act with integrity. Hold yourself and others accountable through participation in peer feedback processes. Advocate for the nursing profession and assist in recruiting new nursing talent.
Additional Duties

Perform other responsibilities as assigned and comply with all organizational policies, work standards, and codes of conduct.

Qualifications
  • Minimum Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Licenses and Certifications: All certifications must be obtained upon hire unless specified otherwise. Required certifications include:
    • BLS - Basic Life Support or BLS Instructor certification
    • RN - Multi-state Compact or RN - Single State License
