The Department of Dermatology is looking for academically inclined dermatologists and dermatopathologists to become part of our full-time faculty at the Assistant Professor level. We invite applications from board-certified and board-eligible candidates who have a keen interest in various dermatology specialties.


Our department caters to a diverse and medically intricate population in the greater Pittsburgh area, while also attracting patients from across Pennsylvania and neighboring states. The extensive campus of the University of Pittsburgh/UPMC features 40 hospitals and 800 outpatient clinical sites, along with a global healthcare footprint. Our Department of Dermatology operates seven clinics, offering a range of services including general dermatology, phototherapy, laser treatments, Mohs micrographic surgery, aesthetic services, and inpatient consultations.


Located on our Oakland campus, our Dermatopathology unit comprises four full-time dermatopathologists and two dermatopathology fellows. Our teledermatology program facilitates both synchronous and asynchronous patient care throughout the state, supporting inpatient consultations and in-office e-consults with community physicians. Furthermore, we provide opportunities for clinical research and collaboration with both clinical and basic science colleagues on campus for those interested in research.
