Special Education Teacher in Mansfield, OH

Your assignment will cover multiple sites within close proximity—each within about five miles of one another—ensuring manageable travel between locations. You’ll provide services on an as-needed basis during the school year, allowing for flexibility in your schedule. The position begins August 31 and concludes May 20.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid licensure or certification to teach Special Education in the state
• Experience working with preschool-aged children, ideally those with cognitive or developmental delays
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnering with families, support staff, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to individual student needs
• Previous experience in multi-site or travel-based educational roles is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for preschool students
• Deliver instruction tailored to students with cognitive delays
• Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and caregivers
• Track student progress and provide regular updates to parents and school personnel
• Travel between assigned sites as needed to provide classroom or consultative support
• Participate in team meetings and IEP reviews as scheduled
