Qualifications & Experience Sought:

• Valid Washington State certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience working with middle school-aged students preferred
• Understanding of diverse disabilities and ability to adapt instruction accordingly
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom culture

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with a variety of disabilities
• Adapt general education lessons and curriculum to meet individual student needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and support professionals
• Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and provide ongoing assessment
• Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student goals, progress, and concerns
• Promote a safe, respectful, and supportive classroom environment

The assignment begins August 26, 2026, and runs through June 11, 2027, working Monday through Friday, 7.5 hours per day. Interviews will begin as soon as possible, with both Zoom and in-person options available for your convenience.
