Job Opportunity: OB/GYN

Our organization is looking for a dedicated OB/GYN to join the expanding Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology within the Women's Services at St. Joseph Warren Hospital.

In this role, you will collaborate with a team of community OB/GYN professionals and Advanced Practice Providers to establish standards for intrapartum care. You will also be responsible for educating, supervising, and delivering direct care to patients within Women's Services. Candidates will have the opportunity to engage in collaborative roles that align with their interests in practice, research, and education.

St. Joseph Warren Hospital stands as one of the leading providers of Level II obstetrical services in the Mahoning Valley, with over 1,200 deliveries each year. The OB department works closely with St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital, the region's only Level III provider of comprehensive obstetrical care, which sees more than 3,400 births annually. Additionally, Akron Children's Hospital offers in-house coverage for deliveries and manages the Special Care Nursery.

This position will be located in the Trumbull County area and will involve providing OB-GYN services in an outpatient setting as well as surgical care. Call coverage will be necessary to accommodate patients who are unassigned. Available consultation resources include a full-service Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) team and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The Special Care Nursery is operated in-house by Akron Children's Hospital.

Requirements:

• Board certified or eligible at the time of employment
• Licensed to practice in Ohio by the time of employment
• Possession of DEA, NPI, and prescriptive authority
• Current BLS and NRP certifications for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association
