Join Our Team as a Pediatric Ophthalmologist

Our organization is on the lookout for a Pediatric Ophthalmologist at the Assistant/Associate Professor level to enhance our team. This role offers a unique chance to engage in collaborative care. We welcome applications from both emerging and seasoned clinicians or clinician scientists, and all candidates are encouraged to cultivate a subspecialty interest.

Position Overview

The selected candidate will play a vital role in expanding our department's well-established multidisciplinary care pathways by strengthening connections with primary and specialty care providers, both within and outside our organization.

  • Primary focus areas will include patient care, education, and research.
  • Responsibilities will encompass both didactic and clinical training for residents and fellows.
  • Our team includes a dedicated molecular biologist, vision scientist, electrophysiologist, a research coordinator, and two specialized ophthalmo-genetic counselors.
  • This position will be located at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, with additional clinics at nearby satellite offices and surgical centers.
  • The department is well-equipped, featuring collagen cross-linking, a myopia treatment center, and state-of-the-art imaging technology, including integrated intraoperative OCT, eye movement recordings, and a comprehensive visual electrophysiology lab.
