Assignment Details:
- Full-time schedule (37.5 hours/week)
- Two roles available:
- BridgeView: Setting 4, middle school, developmental cognitive delays, some wheelchair use, mild behavior support
- Farnsworth Lower: Setting 3, elementary school, ASD/DCD, caseload of 6-9 students
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid licensure as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience or passion for working with students who have developmental or cognitive disabilities
- Compassionate, adaptable, and positive approach in the classroom
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized, high-quality educational services to meet students’ IEP goals
- Coordinate with support staff, therapists, and families to create optimal learning environments
- Employ diverse instructional strategies adapted to student needs
- Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and progress monitoring
- Support inclusion, mobility, and behavior plans as needed
