Step into a dynamic school-based environment near Chicago, IL as a dedicated School Psychologist supporting K-8 students. This contract, in-person opportunity involves making a profound impact on young scholars by providing direct support for their academic, social-emotional, and behavioral growth across two school locations. You’ll be part of a collaborative and mission-driven team focused on student success.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Psychology or Educational Psychology is required.
  • Active State license/certification (in Illinois, a PEL with School Psychologist Endorsement).
  • Minimum of 2 years of school-based experience.
  • Demonstrated commitment to core educational values and student-centered approaches.
  • Proven track record supporting student learning, relationships, and emotional well-being in school communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prevent, assess, and support student academic and social-emotional needs to improve school success.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (SPED, 504, MTSS) to identify and evaluate students, ensuring compliance with all relevant guidelines and timelines.
  • Serve as a consultant and leader on MTSS systems, design interventions, and monitor progress for Tier 3 scholars.
  • Prepare reports and present at problem-solving and IEP meetings; coordinate information sharing with external agencies as appropriate.
  • Maintain detailed caseload documentation and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality.
  • Stay current on best practices, deliver professional development, and serve as the child development resource for school stakeholders.
  • Communicate proactively and professionally with parents, colleagues, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Support a caseload of approximately 60 students across two Chicago-area schools, working 37.5 hours per week.
