Work full-time, providing invaluable support to students aged 3–21 across a cluster of campuses within a manageable geographic zone. With a consistent schedule from August 11, 2026, through May 26, 2027, you'll make a tangible difference in the lives of young learners.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current, active Occupational Therapy license for Texas (OT)
- Strong background in school settings or pediatric populations
- Open to highly experienced COTAs with a proven school-based track record
- Must pass a state-level fingerprinting and background check
- Proficiency with school-based documentation and IEP processes
- Reliable transportation for travel within assigned zone
- Applicants must confirm they’ve never been employed by the district or terminated from any school district (affidavit required)
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a full-time (37.5 hours/week) caseload, serving 6 to 7 schools within an assigned area for maximum home/work life balance
- Provide direct and consultative OT services, with a direct caseload of approximately 30–40 students; most services are delivered on a rotating, flexible basis
- Conduct evaluations, write reports, and participate in ARD meetings as needed
- Maintain thorough documentation using SHARES and Onward software, as well as Excel logs for IEP compliance
- Utilize the district office as a convenient home base between school visits
