This Contract opportunity is for a Pharmacy Technician role within a mail order pharmacy setting, supporting at-home chronic care management. The position is based in Moneta, VA, and offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM over a 13-week duration, starting as soon as possible. This role requires 1-2+ years of pharmacy technician experience, an active Virginia license, and PTCB certification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret sig codes, select appropriate products, and efficiently process prescription refills
  • Enter data accurately, verify insurance coverage, and resolve claim rejections
  • Prepare, label, and package medications in compliance with pharmacist and regulatory standards
  • Maintain pharmacy inventory by performing cycle counts and managing returns
  • Handle inbound and outbound patient and prescriber communications professionally
  • Ensure full compliance with HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid regulations, and internal protocols

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1-2 years pharmacy technician experience
  • Active Virginia pharmacy technician license
  • PTCB certification
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset in a fast-paced environment

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

This role reports directly to the Operations Manager, Pharmacy. The interview process includes a brief 10-15 minute on-site interview with prompt hiring decisions following.
