The assignment starts immediately and runs through October 2nd, with a consistent 37.5-hour work week at a single elementary location.

Your passion for guiding students with special needs will shine as you tailor interventions, adapt curriculum, and work closely with a dedicated team of educators and support staff. You’ll play a key role in helping young learners reach their goals both academically and personally.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Colorado Teacher License with a Special Education Generalist Endorsement (Ages 5-21)
  • Experience working with affective needs or similar student populations in a school setting
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Prompt completion and return of district contractor credentialing packet

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students ages 5-11 with affective needs
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to support student success
  • Provide targeted instruction and behavioral interventions in an inclusive and supportive environment
  • Maintain detailed records and follow all state and district guidelines for special education
