Note: This role may qualify for a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 for day shifts and $15,000 for night shifts for external candidates with a minimum of one year of RN experience. Current internal associates are not eligible for sign-on bonuses.

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med-Surg

Join our fast-paced post-operative surgical unit focusing on colorectal, vascular, and abdominal surgeries. This role offers a diverse case mix and an excellent opportunity to enhance your knowledge in areas such as drains, wound care, and post-operative management.

Job Summary:

The Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) is tasked with providing outstanding nursing care to patients by:

• Employing strong organizational and leadership abilities to assess patient conditions.
• Delivering care to individuals with both medical and surgical diagnoses.
• Implementing clinical nursing interventions effectively.
• Possessing a broad range of medical skills.
• Creating and executing patient care plans to improve health outcomes.
• Maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.

Essential Functions:

• Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Monitor vital signs, administer IV medications, and assess patient conditions.
• Review and adjust care plans to ensure the achievement of expected outcomes.
• Administer medications safely in accordance with state regulations and organizational policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (preferred).

Work Experience:

• Minimum of one year of RN experience (required).
• Six months of RN experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).

Licensing & Certifications:

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS Basic Life Support certification (preferred upon hire; must be obtained from an approved source before providing direct patient care; ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support may be accepted in place of BLS).

Compensation Range:

Minimum: $34.33 | Maximum: $54.93
