Position OverviewWe are in search of a committed Registered Nurse to join our Level 1 Trauma Center's Main Operating Room at the New Brunswick campus. The OR Nurse will deliver exceptional patient care in a surgical environment, collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented and proactive individual who excels in a dynamic setting and is focused on enhancing surgical outcomes for patients.
Qualifications-
Required:
- ASN or Nursing Diploma
- At least one year of OR RN experience or a recent graduate of a perioperative 101 program
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Strong computer proficiency

Preferred:
- BSN or completion within five years of hire
- CNOR certification
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Active Registered Nurse License in New Jersey
- Night Shift, 40 hours per week, from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Availability for weekends, holidays, and on-call duties as assigned
- Full-Time Position
- Deliver nursing care within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, while adhering to ethical guidelines as outlined by the ANA code of ethics.
- Ensure safety in practice, incorporating evidence-based principles and maintaining awareness of personal knowledge and experience levels.
- Report any identified safety concerns, including hazardous conditions and medical errors.
- Maintain knowledge of the patient demographics served.
- Supervise and guide the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members, collaborating with other healthcare providers.
- Set and assess priorities consistently through appropriate interventions aimed at measurable improvements.
- Act as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager, utilizing the nursing process to tailor care plans to meet specific patient needs.
