We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to become a part of our OB/GYN practice at our organization, located in Farmington, Maine. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about providing personalized care to women.

Position Overview

As a CNM, you will support our bustling outpatient OB/GYN practice under the guidance of experienced OB/GYN physicians. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide array of women's health issues, including both prenatal and postnatal care. The role involves a combination of outpatient and inpatient responsibilities, which includes:

• Coordinating clinical care for obstetrical and gynecological services
• Providing coverage in the labor and delivery unit, including assisting with deliveries
• Supporting various surgical procedures

The call schedule is shared at a ratio of 1:4.

Qualifications

We are seeking candidates who meet the following criteria:

• Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing, along with successful completion of an accredited nurse midwifery program recognized by the ACNM.
• Licenses/Certifications: A current license to practice as a Certified Nurse Midwife in the State of Maine, along with a valid BLS certification. Surgical first assistant certification is preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of two years in labor and delivery and office settings is required; prior CNM experience is advantageous. Proficiency in IUD insertion and office ultrasound is essential, while Nexplanon insertion skills are desired. Comfort with moderate to high-risk pregnancies is also necessary.
• Collaboration: A team-oriented approach to patient care, working effectively with OB/GYNs and various clinical team members.
