Job Description
Our organization is on the lookout for a Medical Director for the Women's Services Institute within the West Florida Division. The ideal candidate will have a medical background in either Obstetrics/Gynecology, Maternal Fetal Medicine, or Urogynecology. This leadership position will involve a blend of responsibilities, with approximately 60% dedicated to administrative tasks and 40% to clinical duties.
Primary Responsibilities- Provide clinical guidance, oversight, and leadership to all Ob/Gyn practices across West Florida.
- Collaborate with leadership to address any clinical, behavioral, or operational issues raised by providers, patients, or staff.
- Engage with leadership on both short-term and long-term planning for physician and APP staffing needs.
- Develop and enforce standard clinical protocols, policies, and procedures in line with ACOG guidelines, ensuring consistent application across the group.
- Focus on delivering effective patient care services while ensuring compliance with standards set by relevant accrediting bodies and regulatory agencies.
- Participate in investigations related to patient complaints or claims concerning the practices.
- Advise on the procurement of clinical supplies, materials, and equipment necessary for adherence to established protocols.
- Act as a mentor for newly added physicians within the Ob/Gyn practices.
- Work collaboratively to foster a "consumer-centric" environment and assist in managing and resolving patient and medical staff complaints.
- Prepare necessary reports and records as required by regulatory bodies and the organization.
- Assist in creating patient information, medical record, and consent forms for use within the practice.
- Recommend in-service training for practice staff to enhance clinical outcomes.
- Provide guidance on inpatient services for hospitals with Women's Services and establish quality standards.
- Collaborate with business development to contribute to growth strategies for the OBGYN service lines.
- MD or DO degree.
- Active medical license in Florida.
- Current board certification in the United States.
