A specialized opportunity is available for a Pharmacist with expertise in sterile compounding in Starke, FL. This role focuses on delivering high-quality sterile preparations while supporting clinical pharmacy services, ensuring strict regulatory compliance, and providing leadership in a dynamic infusion pharmacy setting.

Schedule & Contract Details:

  • Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
  • 13+ weeks contract to hire

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret, verify, and process physician medication orders accurately.
  • Perform and supervise sterile compounding following USP <797> and USP <800> standards.
  • Conduct final verification of compounded sterile preparations to ensure safety and efficacy.
  • Review medication profiles for safety concerns such as allergies, interactions, dosing, and compatibility.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to optimize patient care.
  • Mentor and oversee pharmacy technicians and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Maintain stringent aseptic technique, cleanroom standards, and environmental monitoring protocols.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives, medication safety programs, audits, and continuous process improvements.
  • Manage documentation related to compounding, batches, quality control, and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist with inventory management, controlled substances handling, and daily pharmacy operations.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of pharmacy policies, procedures, and staff education.
  • Engage in staff meetings and professional conferences to stay current with pharmacy practices.

Qualifications:

  • Active Florida Pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in hazardous and non-hazardous sterile compounding adhering to USP <797>, USP <800>, DEA, OSHA, and Board of Pharmacy regulations.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills.
