Retail Supervising Pharmacy Manager | Owego, New York

This opportunity is for an experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead a retail pharmacy in Binghamton, NY. This full-time, direct hire position involves overseeing all pharmacy operations, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with regulations while focusing on business growth and customer service excellence.

Location:

• Binghamton, NY (retail pharmacy setting)

Schedule:

• Variable day and afternoon shifts
• Approximately 62 hours bi-weekly

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain collaborative relationships with the store operations team to drive associate engagement and communicate department strategy.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance of all prescriptions, completing Drug Utilization Reviews and Quality Assurance per state and federal regulations.
• Build a profitable pharmacy business by promoting clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management.
• Collaborate with District Manager on inventory control and pharmaceutical stock orders.
• Align team performance with key department metrics to maximize efficiency.
• Provide excellent customer service, handling medical consultations and resolving complaints.
• Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff through training, coaching, and discipline.
• Maintain pharmacy security and cleanliness.
• Prioritize pharmacy tasks including inventory management, cycle counts, and managing will-calls.
• Engage with physicians and use reference resources to resolve prescription-related issues.
• Support continuous staff development to improve performance and reduce turnover.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree
• Current New York Pharmacist License
• Proven leadership and management experience in retail pharmacy preferred
