This in-person, contract opportunity is designed for a passionate Occupational Therapist ready to make a difference in educational settings.
In this role, you'll collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to foster each child’s growth and independence. You’ll work across two locations, ensuring consistency and care for every student you serve.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapy license (or eligibility) for Arizona
- Previous experience in a school setting, preferably with preschool through middle school populations
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and development
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Adaptability and creativity in therapeutic approaches
- Experience supporting students with a variety of physical, sensory, and developmental needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in preschool through 8th grade
- Complete assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with educators and parents to incorporate therapy strategies into the classroom and home environment
- Document student progress and timely submit required reports
- Support students at both assigned school locations within a 37.5 hour work week
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive educational environment for all learners
