Make a meaningful impact supporting elementary students as a School Adjustment Counselor for the upcoming academic year. This rewarding contract opportunity is available just outside Peterborough, NH, working across several elementary schools within one supportive district. The role centers on delivering essential responsive and rehabilitative services to help children and families overcome challenges, ensuring students are able to fully participate in school activities and thrive academically and personally.

Work directly with educational teams at four elementary campuses, dividing your time among the schools as follows: Franklin (20%), Wheelock (20%), Symonds (30%), and Fuller (30%). The position runs from August 26, 2026, through June 15, 2027, for a total of 35 hours per week.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree required
  • Professional background as a School Social Worker, School Psychologist, School Counselor (with strong school-based counseling experience), or a Mental Health Clinician with experience in educational settings
  • Currently hold or be eligible for New Hampshire certification as School Counselor (NH 0040), School Psychologist (NH 0046), Associate School Psychologist (NH 0047), or School Social Worker (NH 0049)
  • Effective collaboration skills for working with school teams and families

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide group and individual counseling services to students
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement support strategies
  • Offer crisis intervention, behavioral support, and skill-building programs
  • Engage families to build strong school-home partnerships
  • Contribute to a positive school climate and student wellbeing
