Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) within a vibrant educational setting near Bessemer, AL. In this onsite role, you’ll foster positive outcomes for students across multiple campuses, collaborating with a supportive team and making a true impact on young lives. Openings are available at Pinson Valley High School, McAdory Elementary/McCalla Elementary, and Hueytown Middle School/Lipscomb Elementary, serving caseloads of around 60 students.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Speech-Language Pathology licensure in Alabama
- SLP Educator Certification for Alabama (must be verifiable per state requirements)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC) required for some positions; Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidates welcome to apply
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Prior school-based experience preferred, but not mandatory
Position Overview:
- Full-time, contract-based (August 4, 2026 – May 27, 2027), 37.5 hours per week
- Manage a caseload of approximately 60 students
- Deliver speech, language, and communication assessments and interventions
- Develop and implement IEPs collaboratively with faculty and families
- Consult with teachers and staff to ensure inclusive support across educational settings
- Maintain timely documentation and progress reports in line with district standards
- Engage in professional development as required
This position is exclusively onsite and requires presence at designated schools throughout the week, with flexible assignments depending on location needs.
