This contract opportunity is tailored for a Special Education Teacher eager to cultivate inclusive learning environments and deliver transformative support to young learners. As part of a full-time schedule, you’ll shape student growth during school hours from 8:25 AM to 3:30 PM, with an extended day until 4:30 PM dedicated to meetings, collaboration, and professional responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification appropriate for grades 3-5
  • Proven expertise in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and colleagues
  • Familiarity with current best practices in special education, behavioral interventions, and differentiated instruction
  • Ability to foster a positive classroom environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Experience working within elementary school settings, particularly with grades 3-5

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized and group instruction tailored to student IEPs
  • Regularly assess, monitor, and document student progress toward educational goals
  • Modify curriculum and adapt teaching techniques to accommodate diverse learning needs
  • Participate in team meetings, faculty trainings, and parent conferences until 4:30 PM as required by the contract
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and specialists to optimize student success
  • Maintain timely and thorough educational records in compliance with school standards
