Job Description
Indiana University Health Medical Group is hiring a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our inpatient Neurosurgery department at Methodist Hospital! Join a highly skilled team providing care for ICU, Trauma, Neurovascular, stroke, spine and cranial surgery patients.
\nPosition Details:
\n- \n
- Full time, Night Shift, Rotating Weekends \n
- \n
- 3 12-hour days per week (6:00pm-6:30am) \n
- APP's will do self-scheduling, and it will be worked out within the department \n
- No call \n
\n - 100% inpatient \n
- Team includes 17 physicians and 30 APPs- working directly with 17 physician's and 11 APP's \n
Procedures:
\n- \n
- Simple wound closure after drain removal \n
- Lumbar puncture \n
- Shunt taps \n
Key Responsibilities:
\n- \n
- Evaluating new consults either in ED or on one of the inpatient units. \n
- Evaluating patient with neuro changes \n
- Inpatient care \n
- Discharges \n
Qualifications:
\n- \n
- ACNP, AGNP, FNP or PA certification required \n
- Neurosurgical, Neurology, Trauma, ICU experience is preferred \n
- General knowledge of neurological deficits and disorders would be preferred \n
- Acute Care certification or an NP/PA with Neurosurgical and/or critical care experience preferred \n
