Work Schedule

Full-time position with day shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM.

Key Responsibilities
  • The Registered Nurse (RN) plays an active role within a multidisciplinary team of both licensed and unlicensed caregivers, ensuring that patients, families, and significant others receive personalized, high-quality, and safe care.
  • Work within a clinical setting managed by Nurse Managers and other leaders, supported by the organization’s Shared Governance Model.
  • Adhere to the WellStar Professional Practice Model, 5-Star Nursing standards, and evidence-based practices and research.
  • Maintain licensure and knowledge as required by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act, implementing the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics as established by the American Nurses Association.
  • As part of the patient services team, advocate for the patient’s voice while adhering to system policies and procedures, and support service excellence goals.
Qualifications
  • Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Must hold a current Registered Nurse license in Georgia or have the privilege to practice under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC). A current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required on the first day of employment.
  • Preferred Experience: National certification in a specialty area is preferred.
  • Experience: Direct patient care experience is required.
  • Skills:
    • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English; capable of utilizing technology to enhance clinical care and possess basic computer skills.
    • Strong interpersonal and collaborative abilities, along with excellent customer service skills.
    • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies with decisiveness, composure, and respect.
    • Exceptional time management skills, utilizing evidence-based practices and analytical skills, along with strong critical thinking capabilities.
