Physical Therapist - School Setting in Petersburg, VA

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state, or eligible for state licensure
• Prior experience working in school settings is highly desirable
• Strong ability to adapt therapy plans for a range of ages and abilities, K-12
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with educators, families, and students
• Comfortable navigating technology for documentation and virtual therapy, if needed
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of students’ physical abilities and needs
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to help students meet IEP goals
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure coordinated support
• Provide both direct and consultative physical therapy services, onsite or remotely, based on student needs
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and necessary records in compliance with school policies and relevant regulations
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide expert guidance for developing student support strategies
