Job Opportunity: Neurohospitalist

Our organization is currently in search of a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible Neurohospitalist for an inpatient-only role. This position is primarily based at our facility, a 312-bed Level 3 trauma center located in Bristol, Tennessee, which also serves as a primary stroke center. Some responsibilities will extend to Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport and Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, both situated approximately 15 miles from Bristol.

This includes three tertiary care facilities, 18 community and critical access hospitals, seven cancer centers, 18 urgent care locations, and numerous specialty offices through our employed network, which consists of over 800 physicians and advanced practitioners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage an average patient load of 12-15 patients, including consults.
  • Utilize Epic EMR across the health system.
  • Provide support through physician extenders (NP).
  • Oversee inpatient stroke care and general neurology, including consults in the ICU, general medical floor, and emergency room.
  • Interpret routine and prolonged EEGs.
