Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) - Belleville, Pennsylvania

Based near Belleville, PA, this contract position runs from August 19, 2026, through May 28, 2027, and focuses on delivering essential services that empower students to achieve their full potential.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide direct specialized instruction and support to students with hearing differences as described in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Develop, implement, and track progress on IEP goals tailored to the unique needs of each learner
• Employ adaptive communication approaches, including American Sign Language (ASL), to foster meaningful engagement and learning
• Collaborate with general education teachers, interpreters, and related staff to ensure equitable access to the curriculum
• Support the use and troubleshooting of hearing technology—such as FM/DM systems, AAC devices, and cochlear implants—in the classroom setting
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of student progress, parent communications, and mandated reports

Preferred Background:

• Current Pennsylvania certification as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (PK–12)
• Previous experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in a school setting
• Proficiency in ASL and a collaborative, flexible approach to meeting diverse student needs
• Strong familiarity with the implementation and support of hearing assistive technologies
