An exciting opportunity awaits skilled Special Education professionals eager to support young learners in an engaging school environment. Two full-time contract positions are open for EC Resource Teachers at the elementary level (K-4), offering the chance to make a lasting impact on students’ educational journeys. The assignment begins on August 24, 2026, and involves working directly with elementary students receiving special education services in a resource setting.

Key Qualifications:

  • Hold an active North Carolina EC General Education K-12 certification
  • Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in elementary grades
  • Proficient with the ECATS IEP system for progress monitoring and documentation
  • Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 20 students
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Dedicated to creating an inclusive, supportive classroom for diverse learners

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction, both individually and to small groups of K-4 students onsite
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs using the ECATS system to ensure appropriate student progress
  • Collaborate with general educators, related service providers, and families to support each child’s goals
  • Maintain accurate case management, records, and timely compliance with state/federal requirements
  • Foster a positive, accommodating, and respectful learning environment
  • Engage in regular IEP meetings, team planning, and communication with all stakeholders
