Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching credential (Education Specialist) for Mild/Moderate needs
• Experience supporting elementary-aged students in a classroom or resource setting
• Strong knowledge of IEP processes, implementation, and compliance
• Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt materials to meet diverse learning styles
• Collaborative approach with teachers, staff, and families
• Excellent organization, communication, and classroom management skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students with mild/moderate disabilities in accordance with IEP goals
• Develop and modify curriculum materials to suit individual needs
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and participate in IEP meetings
• Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral growth
• Work with a team of educators and specialists to create a supportive learning atmosphere
• Communicate regularly with families and caregivers about progress and strategies
