Position: Computed Tomography Technologist (CT Tech) Weekend Option

Job Overview:

The CT Technologist utilizes their expertise in diagnostic imaging to safely and effectively operate CT scanning equipment, ensuring compassionate and timely patient care. This role is crucial in assisting with the diagnosis and treatment of patients by generating high-quality diagnostic CT scans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the quality of all imaging and verify that all relevant patient and procedural information is accurate.
  • Conduct computed tomography procedures.
  • Perform required timeout procedures in accordance with policy.
  • Accurately position patients on CT scanning equipment and use appropriate devices for immobilization to achieve the desired positioning.
  • Initiate radiation exposure by activating the scanner based on physician requests and patient history.
  • Administer intravenous injections and demonstrate knowledge of IV care, as well as administer oral, rectal, and IV contrast agents specific to procedures.
  • Assist radiologists with biopsies, drainage procedures, and other tasks while adhering to sterile techniques and safely handling all contrast and radiation materials.
  • Maintain proficiency in all CT IT systems, including Radiant and PACS.
  • Participate in on-call rotations as necessary.

Education Requirements:
  • Associate's degree from an ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) accredited institution (preferred).
Licensing & Certifications:
  • BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (preferred upon hire, must be obtained from an approved source before direct patient care) (required).
  • Certification and Registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) in Diagnostic Radiology (required).
  • Advanced modality registration in CT, ARRT (preferred, or must be obtained within one year).
  • State Licensure (preferred, unless mandated by the state where the position is located).
Experience:
  • At least 1 year of experience as a CT or Radiologic Technologist (preferred).

  • EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) (preferred).

Compensation Range:
  • Minimum: $33.31
  • Maximum: $51.63
