Registered Dietitian

Location: Northport, NY

Sign-On Bonus: Currently offering a $3,000 sign-on bonus

Our organization, situated in Northport, NY, operates a residential treatment program dedicated to adolescents seeking help for Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, or Exercise Addiction.

At our facility, we assist adolescents and their families on their journey to complete recovery, equipping each young person with the tools to face life's challenges without the burden of an eating disorder. We provide compassion, education, and support to families, recognizing them as essential partners in the recovery journey. Our goal is to help each adolescent replace disordered eating habits with healthy skills and a profound understanding of how to lead a life that showcases their unique individuality.

We are looking for a Registered Dietitian to become part of our dedicated team. This role is vital within both the leadership and clinical teams, requiring regular collaboration across various disciplines to ensure the highest quality of client care.

Our nutrition programming is built on foundational principles that emphasize health, liberation from disordered eating behaviors, and a developmentally appropriate journey towards self-trust and intuitive eating. With this robust foundation, our clients progress from the initial stages of repairing their relationship with food to later stages of personal growth and recovery.

Our HAES-informed nutritional care includes:
  • Understanding that healthy, recovered individuals come in diverse shapes and sizes
  • Believing that all bodies deserve nourishment and the experience of satiety
  • Focusing on behavior rather than weight
  • Recognizing that attempts to lose weight are counterproductive to recovery from all eating disorders
  • Creating kitchens and food environments that are open and welcoming, resembling a home-like atmosphere

Salary: $66,300 - $80,000 per year
