The Greater Manchester Region employs around 2,500 individuals and encompasses Manchester Memorial Hospital, a community hospital with 249 beds, Rockville General, a 102-bed facility that is part of Manchester Memorial Hospital, a large multispecialty provider group, and visiting nurse services. This region serves approximately 300,000 residents across 19 towns.
Position Overview:In this role, you will utilize the nursing process to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, both directly and indirectly. You will coordinate care by collaborating with an interdisciplinary team and effectively communicate the patient's clinical status, responding promptly and accurately to any changes in condition or treatment response.
You will demonstrate an understanding of growth and development principles across the lifespan, ensuring that you provide age-appropriate care to the diverse patient population. Additionally, you will promote the nursing profession and professional practice through supportive interactions with colleagues. This position reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.
QualificationsEducation and Certification:- Must be a graduate from an accredited nursing program and hold a current nursing license in the State of Connecticut.
- Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support is required upon hire or must be obtained during the introductory orientation period. You must also maintain clinical competency throughout your employment in this role.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.
- Basic computer proficiency is required.
