\nGeneral Summary:
\nAdventhealth is seeking an outstanding full-time APRN or PA-C to join our thriving Palliative Care team under the supervision of the Physician(s) who act as collaborative practitioners in providing great patient-centered care to patients with serious illnesses. This role will function primarily in the outpatient setting and is responsible for:
\nConducts physical examinations and manages complex symptoms for patients, including pain, constipation, nausea, vomiting, dyspnea, delirium, anxiety, and depression, as well as goals of care discussions for palliative care patients in a clinical setting.
\nOrders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etc.
\nMonitors the patients course of treatment and makes appropriate referrals to either a physician or specialist, as needed
\nCollaborates with physicians and social workers as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and their families
\nDisplays a caring and professional attitude at all times, as well as maintaining personal and professional growth
\n\n
Schedule Details:
\nMonday through Friday
\nRotating weekends and holidays
\n\n
Required Knowledge and Skills:
\nAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, patients, and the public.
\nDesire to learn and improve skillset
\nStrong communication skills
\nAbility to reflect on ones own strengths and weaknesses
\nMotivated to grow as a provider Ability to handle elevated emotions and dying patients

Required Education/Experience:
\nMasters degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies
\nExperienced APP in Palliative care, ICU, hospitalist, or Oncology Required Licensure, Certification, and Registration:
\nCurrent, valid Florida APRN or PA license
\nCurrent, valid DEA license
\nANCC, AANP (or equivalent) or NCCPA Certification
\nCurrent BLS and ACLS required
