Retail Pharmacist | Newport, Pennsylvania

An opportunity is available for a full-time Pharmacist in a retail pharmacy setting located in Newport, PA. This direct hire role offers a dynamic work environment with variable day and afternoon shifts, totaling approximately 74 hours biweekly, with an immediate start date.

Key Responsibilities:

• Foster collaboration with store operations to engage pharmacy associates and communicate departmental strategies.
• Ensure prescription accuracy and compliance through thorough Drug Utilization Reviews and Final Quality Assurance, adhering to state and federal regulations.
• Drive department profitability and prescription growth by implementing clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
• Collaborate with pharmacy management to optimize inventory management and meet customer demand.
• Align departmental performance to key metrics for effectiveness and efficiency.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing medical inquiries and providing healthcare counseling.
• Supervise and manage pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff, including training, coaching, and discipline.
• Maintain pharmacy security and resolve customer issues to build loyalty.
• Coordinate with physicians and use reference materials to clarify prescriptions and resolve concerns.
• Oversee department cleanliness and orderliness, and prioritize tasks including inventory counts and will-call management.
• Promote ongoing training and development to enhance staff performance and control labor costs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
• Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
• Current Pennsylvania Immunization License.
• Experience in retail pharmacy practice preferred.
