Supervising Pharmacy Manager - Decatur, Georgia

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Oversee the critical daily operations and clinical services of a home infusion pharmacy as the Pharmacy Manager, ensuring the safe delivery of intravenous therapies within patients’ homes. This leadership role emphasizes managing sterile compounding processes, directing pharmacy personnel, and maintaining strict compliance with regulatory standards, all while supporting the branch’s profitability and long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead daily pharmacy operations including sterile compounding, IV admixture preparation, dispensing, and inventory control.
• Manage and develop pharmacy staff through recruitment, orientation, ongoing training, performance reviews, and scheduling, with a focus on fostering long-term success.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations encompassing State Boards of Pharmacy laws and USP <797/800> guidelines.
• Provide clinical oversight by collaborating with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes in infusion therapies.
• Contribute to branch budgeting, workflow improvements, and performance enhancement initiatives.
• Participate in administrative on-call duties as necessary, with routine pharmacist on-call rotation in place.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
• Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in Georgia.
• 5-7 years’ experience in clinical operations, preferably in home infusion or acute care settings.
• Demonstrated expertise in IV admixture services and regulatory compliance.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Experience with CPR+/CareTend system strongly preferred.
