Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Pharmacy Manager role is available at a retail location in Mifflinburg, PA. This direct hire position offers a dynamic work schedule featuring variable day and afternoon shifts with 10 to 12-hour shifts (ranging from 9am to 9pm) totaling 62 hours bi-weekly. The ideal candidate will begin as soon as possible and have strong leadership and pharmacy management experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate effectively with store operations and pharmacy teams to drive associate engagement and communicate business strategies.
- Ensure prescription accuracy and compliance through thorough Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance in line with state and federal regulations.
- Manage pharmacy operations to build a profitable business, promote script growth by implementing clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
- Partner with the District Manager and staff to control inventory, monitor weekly sales, and order pharmaceutical stock to meet demand.
- Align pharmacy performance with key department metrics to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing medical inquiries and offering healthcare counseling.
- Supervise and manage pharmacy associates, including training, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
- Maintain pharmacy security and a clean, organized work environment.
- Resolve customer issues promptly to build trust and loyalty.
- Communicate with physicians and use reference materials to manage prescriptions and resolve concerns.
- Oversee ongoing staff development to enhance performance and reduce turnover.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree
- Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
- Current Pennsylvania Immunization License
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience in retail pharmacy management preferred
