Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A specialty compounding pharmacy is seeking a licensed Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for a 13-week contract position. This role is critical to support the achievement of National Registered Licensed (NRL) pharmacy permits in Illinois and Massachusetts. The successful candidate will serve as the PIC, holding an active pharmacy license in the required state, enabling the permit acquisition process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge to fulfill regulatory requirements for obtaining the NRL pharmacy permit.
- Maintain oversight of pharmacy operations according to state-specific regulations.
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff and management to ensure compliance and quality assurance.
- Work onsite at assigned specialty pharmacy locations as required.
Location and Schedule:
- Primary location: Whittier, CA (California Specialty Pharmacy) or ContinuumRX Dublin, OH.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Hours vary based on licensure and location:
- CA, IL, or MA license: 30 hours per week onsite in California.
- MA or OH license: 30 hours per week onsite in Ohio.
- OH or IL license: 8 hours per week onsite in Ohio.
Qualifications or Desired Experience:
- Active pharmacist license in California, Illinois, Massachusetts, or Ohio.
- Willingness to serve as the Pharmacist in Charge by hanging their pharmacy license.
- Experience in specialty compounding pharmacy preferred.
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance related to pharmacy permits and operations.
