Exciting opportunity available for an Occupational Therapist motivated to make a difference in the lives of high school students. This full-time, onsite position begins September 1, 2026 and extends through January 15, 2027, offering the chance to work directly with a diverse caseload in a dynamic school environment near Elgin, IL.
As part of a supportive setting, you'll collaborate with educators and families to help students build essential skills, encouraging greater independence and academic success. The position specifically serves high school-aged learners, presenting opportunities to put your school-based experience to work in a rewarding context.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active Illinois Occupational Therapy license
- Previous experience working as a school-based Occupational Therapist
- Comfortable providing services strictly onsite (remote/virtual work not available)
- Experience serving high school populations is preferred
- COTA applicants will not be considered at this time
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver assessments, treatments, and interventions tailored to the needs of high school students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Document progress, provide recommendations, and consult regularly with school staff and families
- Participate in meetings, student support teams, and professional development as needed
- Maintain compliance with state reporting and licensure standards
