With a focused caseload at a single school, you’ll be the lead SLP, providing expertise and continuity of care.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Active Florida SLP licensure required
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but not necessary
- Comfortable working independently as the sole SLP on campus
- Familiarity with Pre-K through 8th-grade student populations
- Ability to complete all district credentialing requirements, including fingerprints (may leverage existing ACHA Clearinghouse records)
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language services to students in grades PK-8 in a resource therapy setting
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for each student
- Maintain detailed, compliant documentation and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings
- Provide expert consultation and guidance on speech-language matters for staff as needed
