Role Overview

The Occupational Therapist (OT) plays a crucial role in assessing residents, crafting personalized treatment plans, and delivering therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing independence, functionality, and overall quality of life. The OT collaborates with physicians, nursing staff, therapy professionals, residents, and their families to achieve the best rehabilitation results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough occupational therapy evaluations.
  • Create and execute tailored treatment plans based on individual resident needs and objectives.
  • Deliver expert occupational therapy services to residents recovering from illness, injury, surgery, or functional decline.
  • Evaluate and suggest adaptive equipment, assistive devices, and modifications to the environment.
  • Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapeutic methods and safety protocols.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation in line with facility, state, and federal regulations.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary care plan discussions.
  • Track resident progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory and professional standards.
Requirements
  • Active Colorado Occupational Therapist license in good standing.
  • Experience in skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation, or long-term care is preferred.
  • Strong skills in clinical assessment and treatment planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
