Clinical and Research Activities

Our organization’s Multiple Sclerosis Center is recognized by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS) as a comprehensive care facility and is an active participant in the Consortium of MS Centers. We deliver extensive, multidisciplinary care to a varied patient population experiencing a wide array of clinical neuroimmunology conditions.

The MS Center is staffed by eight MS specialists (MD, DO, PA-C, NP), three clinician-scientists, and two psychiatrists, supported by a dedicated team of nurses, clinical support personnel, and research staff. Situated within the UPMC Magee-Women's Hospital, the center features an outpatient clinic and a fully integrated 10-bed infusion unit. Patients have the opportunity to engage in clinical trials and a long-term prospective cohort study aimed at advancing precision medicine in MS.

Each fellow will collaborate with faculty to create a tailored training program that encompasses MS and clinical neuroimmunology patient care, exposure to multidisciplinary approaches, didactic sessions, and opportunities for teaching and research.

Scheduled educational activities will include:

  • Biweekly neuroimmunology/neuroradiology case conferences
