We serve as a vital recruitment and staffing resource for partner hospitals, offer ongoing educational opportunities for emergency healthcare providers, and operate a Prehospital Care Program that merges the educational assets of the university with our clinical expertise.
The Emergency Medicine Department delivers around-the-clock emergency care by trained, board-certified emergency physicians. Our facilities are staffed with critical care-trained nursing personnel who hold ACLS and PALS certifications.
Emergency care at our locations encompasses:
- Immediate treatment for any medical or surgical emergency
- Initiation of life-saving procedures in various emergency scenarios
- Emergency management of chronic medical conditions and minor illnesses and injuries for patients of all ages
The physician will provide care to patients in the Emergency Room, ensuring accurate diagnosis and treatment of injuries and illnesses. Responsibilities include:
- Evaluating a range of acuity levels and making quick, informed decisions regarding diagnoses and treatment plans
- Collaborating with a team of providers and emergency staff members
We prioritize physician wellness, maintaining staffing ratios of generally fewer than two patients per hour.
