Work Schedule

This is a Full-Time position with Day shifts (7 am - 7 pm) available at our Medical Dialysis Unit. This role is also eligible for a sign-on bonus.

Position Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role as a proactive member of a multidisciplinary team, consisting of both licensed and unlicensed caregivers. Together, they ensure that patients, families, and significant others receive personalized, high-quality, and safe care. The clinical environment is managed by Nurse Managers and other leaders, supported by our Shared Governance Model. Our practice framework is guided by the Professional Practice Model and evidence-based research. RN competencies are derived from these models and are aligned with our core values.

All RN Clinical Nurses are expected to be licensed, knowledgeable, and adhere to the nursing practices outlined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act. They implement the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards established by the American Nurses Association. As part of the patient services team, RNs are expected to advocate for the patient’s voice while adhering to system policies and striving for service excellence.

Core Responsibilities

• Exemplary Practice and Outcomes:
  • Conduct the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation) in clinical care, utilizing evidence-based practices and critical thinking to ensure individualized care.
  • Deliver relationship-based, patient-centered care that respects population-specific characteristics (e.g., age, gender, disease) and cultural diversity.
  • Engage with patients and their significant others through appropriate communication methods, ensuring their goals are central to the care plan.
  • Adhere to current clinical practice standards.
• Teamwork and Collaboration:
  • Coordinate and document safe, quality patient care while promoting a professional care delivery model.
  • Demonstrate teamwork by practicing in a fiscally responsible manner that encourages recruitment and retention of healthcare team members.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives, supporting research and shared governance at all levels.
• Professional Development:
  • Complete all required competency assessments and ongoing education.
  • Act as a preceptor or mentor for other nurses and staff to ensure a qualified workforce and foster a healthy work environment.
• Evidence-Based Practice and Research:
  • Promote evidence-based practices and nursing research, participating in value analysis for patient care products.
  • Adhere to all organizational policies and clinical competencies, ensuring compliance with legal and accreditation standards.
  • Engage in data collection and consult experts to address clinical practice questions.
• Resources and Support:
  • Plan proactively for patient care across the continuum while providing direct care.
  • Contribute to the development of protocols and procedures in collaboration with care managers and the healthcare team.
  • Support the efficient use of human and material resources.

Qualifications

• Education:
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing or graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Licenses and Certifications:
  • Registered Nurse (Single State) required upon hire.
  • RN - Multi-state Compact required upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support certification required.
• Experience:
  • Less than 1 year of experience is acceptable, with completion of clinical hours from an accredited nursing program preferred.
