\nPosition Details:
\nManchester Memorial Hospital is seeking a per diem Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their energetic hospitalist team. The Hospitalist program is seasoned and growing! The successful Advanced Practitioner will provide full-spectrum inpatient care, including triaging, admitting, rounding, discharging, and addressing changes in clinical status. New and experienced providers are met with a comprehensive orientation provided by our exceptional Physician and Advanced Practice Hospitalists.
\n \nRole: Open to Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners
\nLocation: Manchester Memorial Hospital and/or Rockville General Hospital
\nSetting: Inpatient medicine, hospitalist
\nSchedule: Full-time days, flexible schedule! Premium differentials offered.
\nCall schedule: No call

\nNurse Practitioner and Physician Assistants Role Scope:
\nUnder established guidelines and in collaboration and/or supervision with the practice physician(s), Advanced Practitioners perform routine physical examinations, and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients.
\nIn consultation with the physician(s) and care team members, Advanced Practitioners develop plans for further evaluation of health needs, e.g., referral to other health team members or specialists.
\nAdvanced Practitioners provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of the providers practice as designated by protocols and identifies problems outside of their scope of practice and refers appropriately to physician.

Requirements:

- Licensure: Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible) \n
- Training: Certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner \n
Experience: 1+ year in an internal medicine/hospitalist setting
