The Production Worker is a versatile role responsible for the assembly and manufacturing of high-quality structural building components, including roof trusses, floor trusses, and wall panels. This position involves manual labor, tool operation, and collaboration within a team to meet production deadlines while upholding Better Living’s long-standing reputation for expertise and safety.
\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
\n- \n
- Accurately assemble wood products according to production orders, blueprints, or shop drawings. \n
- Safely use pneumatic nail guns, specialized saws, hammers, and other hand or power tools. \n
- Measure, cut, and move lumber and metal connector plates as required for the specific production line. \n
- Ensure all finished products meet company quality standards and specific project measurements. \n
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a hazard-free environment. \n
- Assist other departments and team members as needed to meet daily production goals and shipping schedules. \n

QUALIFICATIONS
\n- \n
- Previous experience in a warehouse, construction, carpentry, or manufacturing environment is preferred but not required. \n
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately and perform basic mathematical calculations (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing). \n
- Comfort and dexterity using hand and power tools in a fast-paced environment. \n
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. \n
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
\n- \n
- Ability to stand and walk for 8–10 hour shifts. \n
- Must be able to continuously lift/move up to 25 lbs., frequently lift/move up to 50 lbs., and occasionally lift/move up to 100 lbs. with assistance. \n
- Work is performed in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility. Exposure to wood dust, loud noise, moving mechanical parts, and varying temperatures is expected. \n

- Strong common-sense understanding to deal with standardized situations and variables. \n
- Willingness to work overtime as production volume requires. \n
