Responsibilities:

  • Deliver therapy following plans crafted by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Provide both individual and group sessions addressing speech and language goals.
  • Maintain accurate, compliant documentation of therapy services and student progress.
  • Support speech, language, and hearing screenings as guided by the supervising SLP.
  • Prepare materials and facilitate classroom-based communication interventions.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to reinforce student growth.
  • Participate in implementing IEPs and carry-over activities developed by the SLP.
  • Uphold school district, state, and federal regulations.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Active Texas SLPA license (TDLR).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Speech-Language Pathology, or a closely related field (per Texas guidelines).
  • Completion of clinical observation and assisting experience as mandated by Texas state regulations.
  • Comfortable working closely under a licensed SLP’s supervision.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Prior experience in a school setting is a plus, though all enthusiastic SLPAs are encouraged to apply.
