Key Qualifications:

• Valid substitute certificate on DESE (or in the process, active before your start date)
• Experience in school settings, particularly with students with behavioral needs, BIPs, and SPED classrooms
• Comfortable providing support that may include toileting
• Must complete fingerprinting for district onboarding (specific code provided for NKC)
• Ability to be flexible for both 1:1 and classroom paraprofessional duties

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide critical support to students during substitute or call-out needs—opportunities available 1-5 days per week
• Follow behavior intervention plans and collaborate within classrooms serving students with varying needs
• Take on both 1:1 and classroom aide duties as assigned, adapting to unique student and classroom needs daily
• Use the spindle app to accept shifts, view schedules, and access site assignments efficiently—no guaranteed hours, paid only for worked shifts
• Uphold a positive, supportive atmosphere for students and staff
