Teacher of the Visually Impaired in Arlington, TN

In this contract role, you’ll provide direct, in-home services to a student who requires expert guidance and instruction. Currently, the caseload is focused on one student needing two sessions each month (one hour per session). Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid certification/licensure to teach students who are visually impaired
• Previous experience delivering direct instruction to visually impaired students (in-home service experience preferred)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with families
• Comfort traveling to the student's home for sessions
• Ability to adapt learning materials and methods to meet student needs

Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored, one-on-one instruction based on the student’s educational plan
• Assess, monitor, and document student progress throughout the service period
• Maintain strong, positive relationships with students and families
• Partner with school staff and other service providers as needed
• Adjust teaching methods and strategies to support ongoing development
