Job Description
Make a meaningful impact supporting students’ growth and participation as a contract Occupational Therapist in an elementary school near Keene, NH. Serving within one building, you’ll collaborate with educators and families to enhance student success and foster inclusive learning environments for the 2026–2027 academic year (August 26, 2026, to June 15, 2027), working 35–37.5 hours per week.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid New Hampshire Occupational Therapy License
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Experience or strong interest in school-based occupational therapy
- Solid assessment and documentation skills
- Commitment to building supportive and accessible environments
- Strong communicator, team player, and problem-solver
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess functional physical development and self-regulation, helping students achieve independence and self-confidence
- Develop and implement personalized intervention plans in collaboration with the educational team
- Provide direct therapy services and monitor student progress to ensure meaningful outcomes
- Consult with teachers and staff to modify classroom environments, removing barriers to participation
- Offer guidance and resources to families and colleagues, ensuring coordinated care
- Maintain timely, detailed records and contribute professionally during IEP or team meetings
- Share expertise to help develop strategies for student placement and successful transitions
