Job Description
Step into an engaging role as a Speech-Language Pathologist within a vibrant educational environment on the southwest side of Houston, serving middle or high school students for the 2026–2027 academic year. This full-time contract opportunity runs from August 11, 2026, through May 26, 2027, giving you the chance to provide crucial support to students in grades 6–8 or 10–12, depending on your preference. You’ll enjoy a manageable caseload of 50–60 students and be thoughtfully assigned to campuses considerate of your preferred zip code.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Texas SLP licensure and FL licensure (please include an image of your current license)
- Prior experience in a school-based SLP setting is preferred
- Strong ability to provide both assessment and therapy services; experience conducting ARDs and student evaluations
- Comfortable working with diverse student populations and varying caseloads
- Ability to meet timely credentialing requirements, including district fingerprinting (may already be on record)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language therapy to students in assigned middle or high schools
- Evaluate students and develop individualized education plans
- Complete necessary documentation, participate in ARDs, and collaborate with educators and families
- Maintain regular communication with staff and support teams
- Assess student progress and adjust services as necessary throughout the school year
