Pharmacist - Miami, FL

This opportunity invites experienced inpatient pharmacists to provide specialized care in a pediatric hospital setting, focusing on medication management for young patients. The facility is situated between Miami and Ft. Lauderdale, offering a dynamic work environment dedicated to children's health.

Location:

• Hollywood, FL (between Miami and Ft. Lauderdale)

Schedule:

• Option 1: 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM, rotating weekends (5 days per week, 8-hour shifts)
• Option 2: Overnight shift 11:00 PM – 7:15 AM, rotating weekends (5 days per week, 8-hour shifts)

Contract Duration:

• Starting August 25th for a 13-week assignment

Responsibilities:

• Perform typical inpatient pharmacy duties with a focus on pediatric dosing
• Ensure accurate medication preparation, dispensing, and monitoring tailored to neonates and pediatric patients
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize drug therapy and patient outcomes
• Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system for documentation and order processing
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and state regulations

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current, active Florida pharmacist license in good standing
• Prefer candidates with pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience; resumes should clearly reflect these skills
• Strong knowledge of inpatient pharmacy operations and pediatric medication requirements
• Proficiency using EPIC EMR system is essential
